You will enjoy the experience of trekking Uganda’s mountain Gorillas in the wild and one of the most unforgettable wildlife encounters in the world!
ITINERARY
Day 1: Flight to Kisoro-Bwindi Impenetrable National park.
This day starts with your driver guide picking you up from Entebbe and embarking on a domestic flight to Kisoro in south western Uganda. The dense rainforest of Bwindi, famous for its gorilla population, is one of the most fertile and rich in the world, being home to a variety of primates, animals, insects and exotic birds. On arrival, you have a short drive to reach to your Lodge and check in for refreshment, relaxation amidst the forests and verdant hills of Bwindi. Dinner and overnight at Bwindi Gorilla Lodge
Day 2: Gorilla tracking experience
After breakfast and briefing by park ranger guides, depart with picnic lunch boxes to start the trekking – the activity can last up to 4 hours trek or more to find the Mountain gorillas as you hike up and down slippery slopes with dense mist covered vegetation. Hence you will have packed lunch for this activity. This active quest will eventually bring you to the face of one of the most sought after creatures-the mountain gorillas.
Upon reaching them, you will have a full hour with them while observing and learning their behavior as you take photos. Return to the lodge for a relaxed evening and dinner at Bwindi Gorilla Lodge
Day 3: Fly from Bwindi to Entebbe airport
After breakfast, you will check out and embark on an exciting road trip back to Kisoro airstrip to board your flight back to Entebbe International airport, to later board your flight back home as you say fare well to the pearl of Africa!
