6 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park

ITINERARY IN BRIEF

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport,

You will be received by a company representative driver/guide at the Airport. Depending on your arrival time, you check into your hotel for a relaxation moment after the long flight.

 

 

 

Day 2: Kampala- Queen Elizabeth National park and activity day.

wake up early in the morning and prepare for breakfast, after set off for the journey from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National park and have a stopover at Igongo museums for lunch and have a visit to museum for cultural and tradition experience, then after proceed to the park check in for your accommodation. Queen Elizabeth boasts one of the highest bio diversity ranging from the open Savannah to Rain forest, dense swamps and beautiful crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward.

Launch cruise along the Kazinga channel,

On reaching, we shall go to enjoy the unique 2-hour launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing, ideal for the Uganda safari .The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight at Park view Safari Lodge

 

Day 3: Game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Park

Early breakfast, Check out and continue to Bwindi through the Ishasha plains with chances of seeing the tree climbing lions on the way as we enjoy our game drive in this park, provide excellent opportunities to see Lions, Cape Buffaloes, Giant Forest Hogs, Leopards , Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Topi and Bush bucks and many more. Lunch enroute, continue to Bwindi and check into Gorilla Mist Camp

 

 

 

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking Experience

 

You will rise relatively early for a jovial breakfast to give you the energy needed for gorilla tracking.  Report to the ranger station at 08.00 am where the guides will take you through the forest, slashing at the undergrowth, panting thick creepers, to track gorillas. This trek can take from half an hour to five hours therefore a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes.

You will spend only one hour with seeing the gorillas as you listen to them grumble at each other and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male, the silverback. It is amazing to think that there are only 650 or so of these creatures left in the world!  If you have the afternoon free, you will take a guided village amongst the locals. Return at your lodge for an overnight,

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala

Early morning after breakfast we shall drive to Kampala. Arrive in Kampala in the evening, Dinner and overnight at Marie's Royale Hotel Kampala

 

 

 

Day 6: White water rafting and departure.

                               

We shall drive to Jinja early morning to reach in time for our white water rafting. We shall pass through Mabira forest, an eco forest which is known for bungee jumping, birding, nature walks among other. We shall drive to the spot for rafting and raft for 3-4 hours there after we shall drive back to Jinja for lunch and continue with our journey to the airport for our flight back home carrying memories of Uganda.
