9 Days Rwanda-Uganda cross Boarder wildlife Safari

 

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Nyungwe National Park

Upon your arrival, the company guide will pick you from the airport or from your hotel in Kigali city and start your transfer to Nyungwe National Park, this park is common for chimpanzee trekking as well as golden monkey tracking. There will also be an option of visiting the old‘s king’s place which is located in Nyanza and you will also enjoy your lunch here before continuing to the park. Upon your arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and an overnight Nyungwe Forest Lodge

 

Day 2: Enjoy Chimpanzee trekking in the forest

Have breakfast early in the morning, your guide will drive you to the park headquarters to have a briefing about the dos and the don’ts of chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe National Park. This trek starts at exactly 6:00am and enter the forest to search for the primate species. Have a chance to come eye to eye with the chimps and many monkey species including the silver monkeys, red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys, olive monkeys as well as the grey cheeked mangabey.the trek will also give you a chance to view many bird species . You will have some good time with the chimpanzees and watch them as the play, feed, and take care of their young ones. After the trek, proceed to your accommodation as you prepare to enjoy a guided walk within the park to view some other wildlife species, Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge

 

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park for Gorilla Trekking.

This day starts with your driver guide picking you up from Nyungwe Forest Lodge, we drive the cross boarder distance between Rwanda and Uganda. We stop at the boarder for a short security check, stretch our legs and enjoy some snacks.

We break our journey for lunch along the way and then head to Bwindi Forest. The dense rainforest of Bwindi, famous for its gorilla population, is one of the most fertile and rich in the world, being home to a variety of primates, animals, insects and exotic birds. Check in the evening for relaxation, Dinner and overnight stay at Bwindi Gorilla Mist camp amidst the forests and verdant hills of Bwindi.

 

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Kihihi Airstrip

breakfast; thereafter, depart for the gorilla trekking briefing point after confirming you have the following necessities; A packed lunch, a backpack with 02 liters of bottled drinking water, a rain jacket, hiking boots, extra warm clothing, Insect repellent, gloves, camera with charged batteries etc.

This gorilla walk can take up to six hours, so a reasonable degree of fitness and a sturdy pair of walking shoes are required. Immediately after Gorilla trekking your driver guide will lead you to kihihi airstrip for the air transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

 

Day 5: Game drive and Boat cruise at Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Have an early morning breakfast then go for a morning game drive within the park. Anticipate to see the famous big five including Buffalos, elephants, Lions and other mammals like Giant forest hog, Bush bucks, Kobs, Hyenas and water bucks. In the afternoon hours you will partake in a launch cruise along Kazinga channel. You will appreciate the high scores of Elephants, Hippos, Buffalos and crocodiles. A number of bird species will also be seen along including the rare shoe bill. Diner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

 

Day 6: Flight transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

This day have a breakfast and depart Queen Elizabeth National park with a flight towards the northwest of the country, you will arrive at Pakuba airfield and transfer to the hotel for check-in and lunch. You will spend a relaxed afternoon at the hotel enjoying a great view of Murchison falls. Dinner and overnight Paraa Safari Lodge

 

Day 7: Morning Game Driver and Evening Boat cruise on the Nile River

After your early morning breakfast, our driver guide picks you up for the early game drive. Explore the major game trails especially in the northern part of the park for good game spotting including lots of Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Antelopes, Jackals, Hyenas, and Uganda kobs, Waterbucks, Jackson's Hartebeests and hopefully the elusive Leopards among others.

Later on, you return back to the lodge for your lunch and some relaxation for an indefinitely short time. Later we set out for the afternoon Boat Ride on the Victoria Nile which is the high spot of any Murchison Falls Safari for you get to spot lots of animals at a close encounter. You will have to spot lots of hippos, Nile crocodiles, Elephants, Buffaloes, and many other animals that come to drink water, refresh and cool themselves off the scorching sun and some animals to eat the fresh grass along the river banks. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Paraa Safari Lodge

 

Day 8: Flight to Entebbe

On this day, catch a flight through Pakuba airstrip in Murchison Falls National and transfer to Entebbe. You will spend your evening at the beach shores of Lake Victoria. Dinner and overnight 2freinds beach hotel Entebbe.

 

Day 9: transfer to the airport

Depending on the scheduled time of your departure from Entebbe international airport, your safari Guide will transfer you to the airport for check-in and this makes the end of 9 days safari with Yala Safaris Uganda.
