7 DAYS KIDEPO & MURCHISON FALLS

This package will enable you to tour Uganda’s most popular and spectacular parks with diversity of wildlife. In both of these 2 parks, you will have a feel of the African big five spiced with birds around you. Cultural encounters will spice up your tour when you meet the local people with their traditional dressing styles, architecture etc.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe, (Optional Kampala City Tour)

On arrival at Entebbe you will be met by your guides and professional Yala Safari Drivers who will transfer you to Kampala. Depending on arrival time it could be possible to make a city tour in the afternoon.
The Dinner, Refreshment and Accommodation will be at Marie's Royale Hotel

Day 2: Kampala to Kitgum

Early morning, the Yala Safaris driver and Guide will pick you from Marie's Royale hotel and brief you before heading out to Kitgum which is in the northern part of Uganda. You will have a quick lunch stop, and then continue to Kitgum arriving late afternoon. You may take an optional walk around Kitgum town and meet the locals, market vendors and return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Boma Hotel kitgum.

Day 3: Kitgum to Kidepo Valley National Park-Evening game drive

After an early breakfast you will head off to Kidepo Valley National Park passing through villages and farm fields. Upon arrival in the park, you will check in and have lunch thereafter an evening game drive. Kidepo ranks among Africa’s finest wildernesses. From Apoka, in the heart of the national park, a savanna landscape extends in all directions, towards horizons outlined by distant mountain ranges. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Kidepo bandas.

Day 4: Visit the Karamojong homesteads and head to Gulu

After a late breakfast, you will drive to a Karamojong village to learn more about their culture, music and dance. After lunch, you will proceed to Gulu town. Karamoja has a cattle culture and the Karamojong are notorious as cattle raiders. Unlike most other Ugandans, many Karamojong shun western-style clothes and instead wear “traditional” dress of a blanket -like shawl, often in red and black. The women wear elaborate beadwork.  Dinner and overnight will be at Churchill Courts Gulu

 

Day 5: To Murchison Falls National Park- Evening Game drive

 You will be met our professional driver guide at your Hotel and drive southwards to Murchison Falls National park reaching in afternoon at your hotel for lunch. After lunch, we depart for a game drive across the savannah in the northern part of the park. You will see abundant wildlife as the sun rises as Murchison Falls National Park is a home of game including Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hartebeests, Giraffes and a heaven of antelopes. Head back to the lodge and for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Twiga Tales Lodge

Day 6: Game drive and boat trip to bottom and hike to the top of the Falls

After an early breakfast you shall for a 3-4 hr morning game drive. Expect to see animals including Giraffes, Lions, Jackson hartebeest, Uganda Kob, Elephants and a lot of birds in the savannah. You will then go back for lunch and thereafter go for a boat cruise to the bottom of the Murchison Falls and then hike to the top of the falls where you shall be met by your guide to bring you back to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight  Twiga Tales Lodge

Day 7: Transfer to Kampala via Luwero to Entebbe

After an early breakfast you shall head out of and embark on an exciting road trip back to Kampala city with a calculation of stopovers for photography and lunch en route. Upon reaching the city, drive to Entebbe international airport in the evening to catch your flight back home as you say farewell to the pearl of Africa.
