7 Days Kenya and Tanzania Safari, Masai Mara Exploration
Day 1: Arrival to Nairobi and transfer to Lake Elementaita
Upon your arrival at the airport, you are met by the company driver guide and depart from Nairobi in the afternoon and drive along the floor of the Rift Valley to Lake Elementaita arriving at the lodge in the evening for refreshment, relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Sentrim Elementaita Lodge
Day 2: Lake Elementaita to Masai Mara
Elementaita is a small soda lake, nestled in the eastern sweep of the Great Rift Valley. The Lake is surrounded by spectacular country that played an important role in the early colonial history of Kenya. This was the estate and stronghold of Lord Delamere, the builder of the Kenya colony. The lake attracts many visiting flamingoes, and it shores are grazed by zebras, gazelles, elands and families of warthogs.
Proceed to Lake Elementaita via the Great Rift Valley. En route, enjoy the scenic views of the valley, Mt. Longonot and Lake Naivasha. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sentrim Camp
Day 3: Full day Masai Masai Mara exploration
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5. Morning and afternoon game drives will be offered.
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures which you will encounter. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sentrim Camp
Day 4: Transfer from Masai Mara – Nairobi for a city tour
Morning game drive through the park then proceed to Nairobi, with lunch en route to arrive by 1600 hrs at the airport where the safari ends. Nairobi City Tour-Day Tour offers you a perfect opportunity to learn about Kenyan History, Traditions, tastes & Culture. During your tour of Nairobi, you will visit a variety of places. These are: Snake Park, Kenya National Museum, Kenyan Parliament Building, Shopping Bazaars and Local Shopping Markets. Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Boulevard Hotel Nairobi
Day 5: Transfer from Nairobi to Ngorongoro via Arusha
After having breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Namanga border town, where you will undergo immigration formalities before proceeding to Arusha. On arrival at Arusha you will have lunch at the a preferred hotel, after which you will depart for Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
Day 6: Full day Ngorongoro Conservation area
From the gate, drive to the Crater Rim and spend few minutes for awesome view of the Crater from the top, descend into the crater floor for a day game drives. Ngorongoro Crater is one the largest intact caldera in the world and one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Africa. All the BIG FIVE Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, others are Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena and more... Birds includes flamingos on the Soda lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more other bird families. Your picnic lunch will be served in the Crater picnic site at Ngoitokok swamp, a Hippo pool, after lunch proceeds with afternoon game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
Day 7: Ngorongoro to Kilimanjaro airport
After having breakfast, check out and embark on an exciting road trip to the closet airport from Ngorongoro, Kilimanjaro airport so that you readily catch your flight back home as you say farewell to the African wilderness.
